Artglass vs regular class

Artglass anti-reflective glass

The main advantages of using Artglass over regular glass are reduced reflectivity, high clarity and accurate colours. The high and distortion-free clarity of the glass is achieved through a composition free of iron and other tint-producing impurities. This glass is specifically designed for framing pictures and also offers UV protection to ensure the better preservation of works of art.

Clear glass

Pictures will be framed with 2 mm thick low-iron glass, which provides excellent clarity. As this type of glass is prone to reflections, it is primarily suitable for use in locations protected from direct light.

Matte glass

This is a 2 mm thick glass specially designed for framing pictures; one side of the glass is clear and the other is matte. The outer matte surface helps reduce reflections due to direct light, while the inner clear surface ensures maximum clarity.

Acrylic glass

Plexiglas XT acrylic glass has excellent optical and mechanical properties, including high durability and low relative density, which are its main advantages. Pictures are usually framed with 2 mm clear or matte acrylic glass, however a thickness of up to 5 mm is available on order. Matte acrylic glass blocks 99% of UV radiation and a 30-year guarantee applies to the clarity of the glass.
